The Coachee understands and agrees that they are fully responsible for their own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing during coaching sessions, including their own choices and decisions. The Coachee is aware that they can choose to discontinue coaching at any time.

The Coachee understands that “coaching” is a professional-client relationship they have with their Coach that is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals.

The Coachee understands that coaching is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, addiction support or substance abuse treatment and the Coachee will not use it in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment or therapy.

The Coachee promises that if they are currently in therapy or otherwise under the care of a mental health professional, that they have consulted with the mental health care provider regarding the advisability of working with a coach and that this person is aware of the Coachee’s decision to proceed with coaching.

The Coachee acknowledges that nothing said by the Coach can be construed as advice or instruction and that the Coach cannot be held responsible for the Coachee’s decisions or actions. The Coachee understands that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical, financial, business, spiritual or other qualified professionals. The Coachee will seek independent professional guidance for legal, medical, financial, business, spiritual or other matters. The Coachee understands that all decisions in these areas are exclusively the Coachees and the Coachee acknowledges that their decisions and their own actions regarding them, are the Coachee’s sole responsibility.

The Coach undertakes not to disclose any information shared by the Coachee during sessions to any third party. The coaching process is confidential, except in circumstances where required by law, or the Coach becomes convinced that a serious danger exists for the Coachee or to others if information is withheld.
